World Cup 2022 singles

All players with any match or specials predictions have qualified for our World Cup singles knockout. The singles knockout tournament uses your scoring from the main competition, so you don't need to do anything extra to take part. The winner of each head-to-head pairing will be decided on points scored over each round and will progress to the next round.

The five rounds will comprise the following predictions:

  1. Round of 32 - first round of group matches (16)
  2. Round of 16 - second round of group matches (16)
  3. Quarter finals - third round of group matches (16)
  4. Semi finals - all the knockout stage matches (16)
  5. Final - your Specials predictions (13 categories)

In the event of a tie...

  1. the player with the greater number of "maximum pointers" in the current round is deemed the winner;
  2. if still tied, calculate the sum of each player's predicted scores for this round and the player closest to the sum of the actual scores is deemed the winner
  3. if still tied, the player with more points from the previous round is deemed the winner;
  4. if still tied, repeat these same tie-breakers for each round before until a winner can be declared
  5. in the event that a winner cannot be determined, a decision will be made by @kirstieh and @gerrymulvenna
