The Hashfootery Cup 2015/2016

As is traditional, we are running a knockout tournament based on your hashfootery predictions - our very own FA Cup, if you like. The knockout tournament uses your scoring from our main competition, so you don't need to do anything extra to take part. The top 64 hashfooterers from this season will qualify for entry to the draw, (ranked on points, 3-pointers, predictions made).

The winner of each head-to-head pairing will be decided on points scored over a calendar month and will progress to the next round.

The winner will receive an impressively unique trophy, like the one pictured right, only a bit different to make it unique.

• Round 1 (round of 64) - November 2015
• Round 2 (round of 32) - December 2015
• Round 3 (round of 16) - January 2016
• Quarter finals - February 2016
• Semi finals - March 2016
• The final - April 2016

The Draw

1. If the number of qualifying hashfooterers is less than 64, some will draw a "bye" into Round 2.
2. One single open draw determines the order of pairings for all rounds in the knockout.
3. The draw will take place on 1 November 2015 and the resulting pairs will be posted on Twitter and be available to view on this page.

In the event of a tie...

1. the player with the greater number of "3 pointers" in the current month is deemed the winner;
2. if still tied, the player with more points from the previous month is deemed the winner;
3. if still tied, the player with the greater number of "3 pointers" in the previous month is deemed the winner;
4. if still tied, repeat these same tie-breakers for each month before until a winner can be declared
5. in the event that a winner cannot be determined, a decision will be made by @downwithdesign, @kirstieh and @gerrymulvenna
