The Doubles Knockout 2013/2014
After the success of last season's trial doubles knockout, we are running a 5-round doubles tournament from October to February, a homage to the Capital Carling Milky Bar League Cup. Players pair up and the sum of their prediction scores compete against that of an opponent pair over a calendar month. No extra effort required. Unless you want to discuss tactics with your partner.
There is room in the doubles knockout for up to 32 pairings. The knockout draw will be made on Tue 1 October 2013.

The knockout draw was broadcast live on Hashfootery TV (it gets going after a 30sec advert and 90secs of keyboard-tapping). It was a one-man show with half a deck of cards.

In the event of a tie...
- the pairing with the greater number of "3 pointers" in the current month is deemed the winner;
- if still tied, the pairing with more points from the previous month is deemed the winner;
- if still tied, the pairing with the greater number of "3 pointers" in the previous month is deemed the winner;
- if still tied, repeat these same tie-breakers for each month before until a winner can be declared
- in the highly unlikely event that a winning pairing cannot be determined, a decision will be made by @downwithdesign, @kirstieh and @gerrymulvenna
